2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Pickup - $900
The Silverado has long been a staple of the Chevrolet brand, a hardy and versatile pick-up that many American truckers swear by. This 2009 model features a 6.6-liter 8-cylinder engine, with tough 245/75R16 tires and a classic hard top. It’s in great condition, and with bidding starting at just $900, we wouldn’t be surprised if someone snatched it up quickly.
2021 Dodge Ram 1500 Classic Pickup - $800
The 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 is only around 4 years old at this point - so why the low price? Unfortunately, this model has suffered some collision damage, leaving the hood badly bent. Besides that, however, the rest of the vehicle - which features a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine and 265/70R17 tires - is still in great condition.
2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty XL Pickup - $800
A huge, hulking pickup, this 2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty XL isn’t called that for nothing. However, this particular model has suffered extensive damage to its front, rendering the lights and engine badly damaged. True to its “Super Duty” title, though, the rest of the vehicle is intact.
1998 Chevrolet K3500 4x4 Pickup - $800
This next vehicle is something of a throwback for fans of '90s pickups. It’s a ‘98 Chevrolet K3500 that’s clearly seen better days. While still operational, it could do with a good facelift to restore it to its former glory.
2003 Ford Ranger XLT Pickup - $500
Equal parts reliable and versatile, the ‘03 Ford Ranger is a fantastic pickup. The XLT trim features power windows and locks, as well as larger tires than the base model. This particular model has, unfortunately, suffered some mechanical damage, but with bidding beginning at $500, you’ll likely have more than enough left over to have these faults seen to.
1998 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Pickup - $500
Despite its compact size, the ‘98 Tacoma could lift and haul with the best of them. It offered a rougher ride, sure, but its durability and versatility more than made up for it. This model, unfortunately, has suffered severe engine damage - you’ll likely have to replace the whole thing in order to get it running again.
2015 Ford F-150 XLT Pickup - $2,000
It’s hard to believe that the 2015 Ford F-150 is 10 years old already. Lighter than many other trucks in its weight class, it offered a good blend of luxury and practicality. It must be pretty tough, too, since this model is still fully operational all these years later.
2008 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner Pickup - $2,000
Despite its lack of four-wheel drive capabilities, the 2008 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner could still handle some light off-roading and was otherwise pretty dependable. This model is still in excellent working condition, and with some light TLC, could look just as shiny as the day it was released.
2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty XL Pickup - $2,500
It took us a while, but eventually we determined that this F-350’s brown coloring was not by design. Indeed, this particular pickup has clearly been bereft of any sort of cleaning or polishing for quite some time; however, it still drives exactly the way it’s supposed to. And who knows, scraping off all that dirt could be satisfying.
2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Pickup - $2,000
While some drivers weren’t happy with its cheap-looking interior materials, the 2004 Silverado was still a dependable beast. This one has suffered some minor cosmetic damage (light denting, mostly), but is otherwise fully operational and ready for action.
2009 Ford F-150 STX Pickup - $1,500
A more stylish alternative to the XLT trim, and with plenty more enhanced features to boot, the ‘09 Ford F-150 STX is a classic, premium Ford. It’s a tough old beast while still feeling luxurious. If you choose to go for this one, however, be warned that its engine cannot be started and will likely need to be replaced.
2009 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 Pickup - $300
Known for its comfortable ride and enhanced safety features, the ‘09 GMC Sierra 1500 was fairly popular in its day. We just hope that those safety features actually worked for this one’s original owner - the front of the vehicle is totally wrecked! Funnily enough, though, the rest of the vehicle still looks immaculate.
2001 Ford F-150 XL Pickup - $1,500
A true workhorse in every sense of the world, the 2001 Ford F-150 XL could lift up to 8,000 pounds and was powered by a 5.4-liter V8 engine. We imagine it could still perform well today with the right driver; be warned, however, that this particular model’s engine requires a jump-start to get going.
2011 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 Pickup - $300
Despite its rugged capabilities, the 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 was still supremely comfortable to drive, with five separate suspension configurations to suit your needs. This one’s engine can’t be started without a jump-start, and its front has been damaged, but it’s hardly the worst we’ve seen so far.
2003 Ford F-150 XLT Pickup - $1,500
We’ve had plenty of Ford F-150s already, and this one falls more or less in line with those models, too. Its engine requires a jump-start to get going, so you’ll need to invest some money into having it repaired or replaced. As well, it features some partially torn decals along its side that really don’t do it any favors in terms of appearance.
2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pickup - $1,500
While not quite as powerful as its SS variant, the ‘03 Chevy Silverado was still reliable and powerful enough to suit most people’s needs. Unfortunately, despite being in reasonable condition, looks-wise, this model’s engine cannot be started and will likely need to be replaced.
2000 Ford F-150 XL Pickup - $1,500
Coming in right at the turn of the millennium, the 2000 Ford F-150 featured a stronger engine than many other pickups, as well as a more spacious interior. And we’re happy to report that despite its cosmetic blemishes, this model is in full working condition.
2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Pickup - $300
Despite being a pretty tough, rugged machine, the ‘04 Silverado can’t survive everything you throw at it. This one is in pretty bad shape, and you’ll likely need to have most of the bodywork redone. But hey, bidding starts at just $300, so it may be worth it.
2002 Ford F-150 Pickup - $1,500
In surplus auctions like these, it’s actually pretty rare that you find vehicles that look as good as this one. Unfortunately, while its appearance is in fair condition considering its age, this 2002 Ford F-150’s engine is incomplete.
2020 Ram 1500 Rebel 4x4 Crew Cab Pickup - Coming Soon
As far as pickups go, the 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel is better looking than most, so it’s a real tragedy to see one in such a state as this. It was originally purchased fraudulently and is now being sold as part of an insurance claim - unfortunately, it’s completely inoperable.
2025 Rivian R1T 4x4 Crew Cab Electric Pickup - Coming Soon
With a sleek design defined by its futuristic bent and elegant, sharp lines, the 2025 Rivian R1T sure is a stunner. It’s unfortunate, then, that this model is currently inoperable, and its body has suffered some pretty severe damage. Be on the lookout for its pricing - it may be worth it to have it repaired.
2017 Ford F-250 STX 4x2 Extended Cab Pickup - Coming Soon
Rather than being an enhanced version of the base model, the STX trim of the 2017 Ford S-250 is, in fact, more stripped back while offering more functionality. This one is currently inoperable, but its exterior is mostly intact.
2022 Ford F-150 4x4 Crew Cab Pickup - Coming Soon
Gov Planet has this 2022 Ford F-150 listed as “inoperable”. If we’re being honest, that’s much too light a word to describe this wreck. Still, though its price remains to be determined, it’s bound to be cheap.
2012 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 Crew Cab Pickup - Coming Soon
A moderate step up from the previous entry, this 2012 Ford F-150 XLT is still in pretty bad shape, particularly in the front. The rest of the vehicle, however, is decidedly spick and span.
2024 Nissan Navara PRO-4X 4x4 Crew Cab Pickup - €24,600
You may be confused as to why this 2024 Navara is so expensive. Unlike every other vehicle on this list, this one has never been used, and is thus both fully operational and totally free of blemishes.
2024 Mitsubishi L200 4x4 Crew Cab Pickup - €20,900
Like our previous entry, this 2024 Mitsubishi L200 has pretty much never been used, with less than 17 km on the clock. Clearly, Europeans must be better at keeping their pickups intact!
2024 Peugeot Landtrek DC N2 4x4 Crew Cab Pickup - €19,900
As if to prove our point, this 2024 Landtrek has seen extensive use - about 14526 km’s worth, in fact - but is still in tip-top shape, hence the fairly steep asking price.
2014 Ford F-150 STX 4x4 Extended Cab Pickup - Coming Soon
Featuring a bright red paint job, this 2014 F-150 is a welcome change of pace from all the lily-white trucks we’ve collected here already. That being said, it’s still pending an inspection report, so we can’t say for certain whether or not it actually runs just yet!
2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 4x4 Crew Cab Pickup - Coming Soon
With a 6.0 L V8 engine, full air conditioning, and a shiny coat of black paint, this 2016 Silverado will have you hauling with comfort and style - that is, once you can be sure it’s running after its inspection report.
2017 Ford F-350 STX 4x4 Crew Cab Pickup - $39,699
We’re happy to report that despite being driven and owned by (presumably) an American, this 2017 Ford F-350 is still in perfect working condition, no notes needed, which is why it’s probably one of the most expensive trucks on this list.
2017 Ford F-150 Platinum 4x4 Crew Cab Pickup - $15,000
Like our previous entry, this 2017 Ford F-150 bucks the trend of American-owned trucks on this list being either inoperable, cosmetically “undesirable”, or both all at once, making the $15,000 you’d pay for it more than worth it.
2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD LTZ 4x4 Pickup - $52,000
Clearly, our list was meant to end on a high note. Like the two previous entries, this 2022 Silverado is also in fantastic condition. It’s also a much newer model, hence the expensive price tag, but you’re unlikely to find much better at a government auction.
2012 Toyota Tundra 4x2 Pickup - $2,800
Although it may be older and more humble than some of the entries we’ve reviewed, this 2012 Toyota Tundra remains a reliable machine in great condition, considering its age.
2012 Ford F-250 XLT 4x4 Extended Cab Pickup - $8,500
Last but not least is this 2012 Ford F-250 XLT, which features a 6.2 L V8, automatic transmission, and hauling capabilities of up to 10,000 pounds, completely justifying its $8,500 price tag.
